Chelsea are holding talks to bring striker Romelu Lukaku back to Stamford Bridge, reports in Italy have claimed on Sunday.
The Belgium international was in superb form as he helped his national side ease past Ireland on Saturday.
Everton are determined to offer a £100000-a-week contract to keep him at the club but it is unlikely that he will reject a move to a more important club in the summer.
Blues will face competition from Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United as the 23-year-old was full of praise for the French giants earlier this week.
"PSG are a great club, with a magnificent project, a world-class squad," Lukaku told GQ magazine.
"But everything is in the hands of my agent, a lot of clubs are obviously interested in having me in their squad.
"I have to continue to play well and have a good European Championship so that more clubs are interested in me.
"But I'm still under contract with Everton. We'll see what happens."
