Antonio Conte's staff has made contact with Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata over the possibility of having him at Stamford Bridge next season, La Gazzetta dello Sport has revealed.
The Spaniard will return to Madrid next month but will be sold in the summer transfer window as manager Zinedine Zidane cannot offer him a regular place in his squad.
Arsenal and Juventus are both interested in the 23-year-old but recent reports have claimed that he wants to join Conte at Chelsea.
He featured for Spain against the Czech Republic at Euro 2016 but didn't impress as he was criticised by ITV pundit Ian Wright:
"I think he's going to have to learn how Spain do it, because they've got so many quality players in that midfield area who can find him," the former Arsenal striker said at half-time.
