Juventus have accepted to let midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah leave to join Antonio Conte at Chelsea.
The 27-year-old is one of the main targets for the Italian manager as he intends to give him the same role he had at Juventus when he was in charge.
At the start of the week, Bleacher Reporter Dean Jones confirmed that the Ghanaian is very close to leaving the Italian giants to move to Stamford Bridge.
"Antonio Conte is one of the new managerial figures heading to the Premier League next season and one man on his Chelsea radar is Juve's Kwadwo Asamoah," Jones said.
"I understand the midfielder is interested in the prospect of moving to Stamford Bridge. Roma are also keen, but Chelsea are confident they can get this deal done.
"Asamoah spent a long part of last season injured but he's back in action and plans to hit the ground running at the start of next season - Chelsea hope it's with them.
"He can play in central midfield, left midfield or left wing-back and that versatility appeals to Conte."
