Ghana star could make Chelsea move during summer transfer window

By

English Premier League giant Chelsea is considering a transfer for Ghanaian superstar Asamoah Gyan, AllAfrica.com has revealed.

The 30-year-old joined Chinese Super League side Shanghai from Al Ain in the UAE during last summer's transfer window but is expected to leave the club to make a return to the Premier League.

Two years ago, the striker confessed that he would be delighted to return to Europe and to again play in front of 50,000 fans.

"I have won two titles here [at Al Ain]," he said in 2013.

"I am scoring goals, but I'm not playing in front of 50,000 fans.

"I am missing European football sometimes, but don't get me wrong I am happy here and it's nice to be here.

"However, if there is a possibility to return to a very good European club then of course I would take the opportunity. It would be very exciting to score goals again in a European league."
