Roma defender Antonio Rudiger says he is aware of rumours linking him with a possible move away from the club but insists he wants to stay in Italy.
The 23-year-old impressed in the Serie A since making his move from VfB Stuttgart and is fully focused on doing well with Germany in the upcoming Euro 2016 Championship.
"It was a good year for me," Rudiger told derwesten.de.
"Unfortunately we failed to finish in the top two and all in all in what a very good campaign [for Roma].
"[Criticism?] I'm not interested. I was criticised when playing with the National team as well but ultimately anyone can say what he wants. The best way to answer criticism is the season that has just ended.
"[My future?] Right now I am a Roma player, I love it here and I'm happy. Then clearly, nobody knows what will happen [during the summer transfer window].
"Maybe the club has other ideas and something will happen after Euro 2016. But I'm optimistic ahead of the future.
"In respect to rumours linking me with Chelsea, I've been reading them for three years now. All I can say is that I am happy at Roma."
