Chelsea have made an approach to sign Roma defender Kostas Manolas and Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly according to Corriere dello Sport.
New manager Antonio Conte believes the likes of John Terry, Gary Cahill and Kurt Zouma are not enough to mount a serious challenge for the title next season.
But Napoli have already made it clear that the Senegalese is not for sale.
Roma are also not interested in selling one of their best players in the defensive department especially since they would have to share the profits with the player's former club Olympiakos if they sell him during the summer transfer window.
