Chelsea are determined to break Manchester United's British transfer fee record to sign Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain.
The Red Devils agreed a British record transfer fee of £59.7m when they signed Real Madrid winger Angel Di Maria in the summer of 2014.
But new manager Antonio Conte wants the Blues to go one step further.
Chelsea made an initial approach to sign the 28-year-old for £42million but the Partenopei will only listen to offers if a £65million offer is made.
Napoli are not new to selling their most important players, having sold Ezequiel Lavezzi and Edinson Cavani to Paris Saint-Germain.
But they are expected to fight to keep the Argentinean who made history in Italy after scoring 36 goals this season.
