Chelsea are ready to open talks with Roma for midfielder Mohamed Salah as part of a swap deal with defender Alessio Romagnoli.
The 20-year-old Italian is also a target for Arsenal and Milan but Roma could decide to sell the player to Chelsea in order to secure the services of the Egyptian.
Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini has already met Salah and is expected to meet with the Blues at the start of next week.
Milan have already made an official £17m bid for the Italian defender that was rejected by Roma with vice-president Adriano Galliani declaring that they will not raise their offer for the youngster.
