Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani says the club will not sign Chelsea and Manchester United target midfielder Axel Witsel from Zenit Saint Petersburg.
The 26-year-old was one of the main targets for the Rossoneri according to reports in Italy but Galliani has rubbished the rumours as he declared that Milan want to sign a central defender.
"No [we won't sign Witsel], that's enough now," Galliani told reporters.
"The only objective left is a central defender."
Meanwhile, Metro has revealed that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich will fly out to Russia to personally secure the transfer signing of the midfielder.
