Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen says he consulted Eden Hazard before accepting a move to Borussia Monchengladbach.
The youngster will spend next season on loan at the Borussia-Park and will team-up with former Chelsea midfielder Thorgan Hazard who permanently signed for the Germans at the start of the year.
"I asked Eden Hazard whether his brother Thorgan is happy at Gladbach," Christensen told Bild.
"He said yes.
"Under [coach Lucien] Favre, I should reach the next level, he's a top coach and was another reason for my transfer.
"And in contrast to the Premier League they also rely on young players here and let them play earlier.
"I will gain some maturity with Gladbach for Chelsea; that's the plan."
