Besiktas press officer Metin Albaryrak says Chelsea striker Loic Remy could join during the summer transfer window.
Albaryrak was answering questions in a press conference held at the teams training grounds in Germany.
Asked about the possibility of signing the 28-year-old Frenchman he said: “A defender and striker could join us early, it could be any time now.
"Our transfer and foreign relations chief Erdal Torunogulları is currently working on it."
The former Newcastle United striker failed to enjoy regular first-team football in Jose Mourinho's squad last season.
He is also a target for West Ham United after Real Sociedad's Carlos Vela turned down a £21m move to join the Hammers.
