Sporting director confirms Arsenal and Chelsea target will stay put

By

Arsenal and Chelsea target Abdul Rahman Baba will stay at Augsburg, sporting director Stefan Reuter has revealed.

The Ghana fullback has been heavily linked with a possible move to the English Premier League although the 48-year-old explained that no offers have been received for the 21-year-old.

He is also a target for Serie A side Roma according to reports in Italy.

"Baba's got a long-term contract and said numerous times that he's feeling very comfortable here," Reuter is quoted as saying by London 24.

"We haven't got any offers so it's not relevant for us at the moment. However, if his development continues like this it is possible that he might leave us some time in the future.

"If a player from Augsburg can make the move to a top club in Europe and the numbers add up we will discuss it and consider whether or not it makes sense.

"I don't see him leaving this summer."
