£28.5m Chelsea and Manchester United target open to offers

By

Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin is ready to listen to offers, as long as they are "ambitious".

The 29-year-old is a target for Chelsea, Manchester United and Milan according to reports but he insists that he will not leave to join a club that will not feature in next season's Champions League.

"Milan? I know nothing and to be honest I'm not thinking about it," he told El Pais.

"I just can't see myself playing for Milan, they are too far from Atletico Madrid [in terms of quality].

"It would be a step backwards in my career. I am happy at Atletico Madrid, I am relaxed and the club is an ambitious one.

"Then granted, if a club with more ambition makes a move, things could change."
