Former Chelsea midfielder Ray Wilkins believes the club should not make a move for Real Madrid defender Pepe to strengthen the defensive department.
Reports in England claim that the 32-year-old is not part of new coach Rafa Benitez's plans and is a target for Manchester City and Chelsea.
In Spain, he is known for his occasional rush of blood to the head.
And Wilkins believes the Blues should pursue someone a little less hot-headed.
"Jose Mourinho obviously knows Pepe from Real Madrid," Wilkins told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show.
"I'm told, off the field, he's a diamond of a young man.
"But watching him, he frustrates the life out of me. I hate watching him. He's a feigner and a red card walking."
