Chelsea scout confirms Blues will not sign Ajax winger this summer

By

Chelsea are no longer interested in Ajax winger Anwar El Ghazi, scout Piet de Visser has revealed.

The youngster was one of the most impressive players for Ajax this season with Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid all sending scouts to monitor his progress.

But de Visser was bitterly disappointed with the attitude of the player as he confirmed that the Blues will no longer track the player.

"That boy looks up to Cristiano Ronaldo, but Ronaldo played here [at the Toulon Tournament] admirably and because of this – in part – he earned a transfer to Manchester United," De Visser told De Volkskrant.

"While El Ghazi showed little, became angry when he was changed by the coach and went back again during the tournament to the Netherlands.

“I was certainly not the only one who noticed it. Foreign scouts asked me what the hell is this?

"He is a good player, but I can say that we aren't going to sign him. We are monitoring some other players in this tournament as well."
