Chelsea are weighing up a transfer move for Atletico Madrid centre-back Diego Godin this summer, Metro reports.
The 29-year-old, also a target for Milan, is expected to leave the Spanish giants during the summer transfer window with boss Jose Mourinho set to make a move.
Meanwhile, former Juventus defender Paolo Montero has described the Uruguayan as one of the best centre-backs in the world.
"Diego is the best centre-back in the world right now, perhaps joined by [Jose] Gimenez and Thiago Silva," Montero told Marca.
"We're talking about a player who's played at the highest level for some time now."
