Arsenal and Chelsea could make a move for Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio according to reports in Italy.
The experienced Italian was expected to extend his contract with the Bianconeri last week but his father and agent Stefano Marchisio says no contact has been made by the club.
"I read that we were supposed to meet Juventus in Berlin after the Champions League final to discuss terms for a new contract," his agent told Calciomercato.it.
"But in all fairness, except an ex-player of the club, I didn't meet anyone. I am waiting for a call, hoping to meet very soon, ideally in the next seven days.
"Our desire is of course to sign a new contract.
"Claudio always said that he wants to continue at Juventus but as they say, it takes two to make a marriage work."
Asked if he was approached by other teams to negotiate a transfer, the agent said: "I very much doubt they [Juventus] will let his contract come to an end [in June 2016].
"But if we fail to reach an agreement, then we will clearly look elsewhere.
"[Yes,] I received a lot of calls from top Premier League and Bundesliga clubs so there are plenty of offers for him."
