Chelsea to beat off Liverpool competition to sign top-class striker

By

Paris Saint-Germain will again dominate during the summer transfer window but they will be forced to sell at least one of their star players.

According to reports from Italy, strikers Edinson Cavani and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are no longer compatible and one of the two will leave the French giants.

Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi is ready to welcome the Sweden international back to Milan but agent Mino Raiola said that it's very unlikely for the 33-year-old to go back to Milan.

It is however more likely for the player to finally fulfil his dream to feature in the English Premier League.

In October, the player told the Guardian: "I respect the Premier League.

"It's one of the best in the world and no other league has this media interest."

Chelsea and Liverpool are both linked with the powerful striker but the Blues are strong favourites having qualified for next season's Champions League.

The former Barcelona man has in fact never won Europe's most prestigious club trophy and is determined to add it to his trophy cabinet before hanging up his boots.
